All 4 of my chicks that are GL Polish crossed with a Red Star roo have gotten poofs. they did not start out with them. I'm planning on getting updated pics of them today. 2 are black, brown and white and 2 are almost all white. All have interesting combs.

Froggie, Thank you for the response and the photos of your nice birds.
That gives me some hope that my birds will develop some signs of a poofy head soon. The Mom is a Black Sex link while the Dad most likely is a Polish Rooster (got hatching eggs from a friend, who has an escape artist Marans rooster as well). So because I can see the ear muffs on the babies, that means that the Polish was the Dad I assume. As soon as it becomes more obvious I will post pictures of them. So far they are plain yellow with muffs......

I have a question about what color my Polish Rooster would be. . . When we got him he was ALL white with 2 black spots, one under his wing and one on his back. Not he has Black Spots and Brown spots ALL over him. even in his crest "Tophat". they lady we got him from had done a fun breeding to see what she would get.

So I was wondering if he would be considered a Paint Polish. He is truly BEAUTIFUL!!

Anyone have opinions about his coloring?

Without reading through the 288 posts here... I'm wondering if you all find the Polish chickens to be more vocal/noisy than other birds?
