3-D printing

Ordered this for my daughter. When it got here, I noticed it was 3d printed, and the quality of the print / fit was really poor.

So I went and found the models. I dno't have the colors to do the cow for a direct compare, but I did this penguin and it's WAY better.

It's definitely interesting to see more and more 3D prints showing up on Amazon.

OK, I’ll give it a shot. I didn’t think about that.

Nope, it won’t work. If I try to pull the blob out, I’ll pull out wires and damage the extruder. Besides, the printer is already showing a failure message about the extruder.

The extruder is dead. I need to get a new one.

OOf, ya, that's a bad one!

I've had a few that weren't as bad, and fortunately the silicone sock was protection enough that once I heated-up the hotend, the big mass of plastic pulled off.

...yours. ya... looks like the thermistor wires, etc., are all up in there. That def. looks like a need for a whole new hotend
