Hey guys. I have a million pictures to share with you today! The babies are around two weeks old now and I'm trying to get a feel on their personalities and looks so I can try to be on top of the gender thing. I don't want to get too attached as any roos will get traded in for pullets.
Anywho, here's the babies at almost three weeks old ( I think. I already forgot when I got them!)

She gives me roo vibes, and I think my roo-dar is pretty good. She's feathering in the fastest but is boisterous, noisy, and has 'tude.

I am so excited to watch these babies grow up. Theyre sonstinking cute.

Anywhoo I did have a gender question for you guys. I honestly dont know the age of this one but it's pretty tiny. Actually it's really tiny. It's just a smidge larger than my 6 week old marans. I don't have any natural pics either because this thing is really terrified of me and darts away at any sign of me. So I'll say it's two-three months old.

It was really windy out so the crest looks crazier on some pics than others.

WHEW. that was a long post.

Well it's hard to say on chicks- however if we go off the topknot shape/height theory on fuzzy Polish Chick topknots (more accurate with show lines that hatchery lines I understand, and not accurate with frizzles).
Please note- we just tried this theory out a month ago- and our chicks are not old enought to have final results.

It can be found here: http://www.swpoultry.com/CindySite/Sexing_Polish.html

Then this is my thoughts on the 3 chicks:

1st chick- roo
2nd chick - I'm leaning toward roo- but it's inbetween
3rd- hen

WC Black..... leaning toward roo on it, because of feather shape in first few pics, however there are some white feathers toward the back that seem hen round..... and the pics in the yard seem hen shaped. Personally I'd let it grow up more

Wow, that's really interesting! I have never heard of such a thing. This stage is always really interesting. I enjoy the guessing game. As they get older my guesses always change, lol.

Anyhow I will say that when I went to pick out my chicks it seemed like all the reds had really big poofs, and the other two colors had smaller poofs
