Man, lost a baby already today. Went outside to check on the chicks and it was just laying there. The other 3 seem fine with mom. Don't know what happened.

I got 2 chicks out of a dozen eggs I bought. They are 3 weeks old, and supposed to be Crele project chicks. Crele or not, I just love them. They are very social, very sweet.

I love their feathering and I think they are gorgeous!

They look like crele project birds to me though one may be more barred in coloring than crele when it grows up.

Aside from the white in the tail, crest, and wings and excess color in the breast it's a nice example of Crele.



Love those baby chicks though. Neither are proper Crele, but that doesn't mean they can't make one!

Illia, thanks, I didn't know how close they'd come to a good Crele.
I'm pretty pretty sure that the lighter one is a cockerel and the other a pullet.

Now, what color do I breed them to? How do I keep the Crele part?
