Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics
Will be driving from Houston, Texas to Summersville Missouri. WOULD LOVE to bring a couple of FRIZZLED Polish chicks home with me. If anyone out there has frizzled chicks that I could pick up on the way home (Missouri, Arkansas, Texas) PLEASE contact me immediately!

Will you please help me with this polish chick? 9 weeks old that I think may be a roo. "He" and his sister are inseparable. He has red wattles, she has none. I have 5 chicks, all the same age. 2 are definitely roos (different breeds) they all hatched 9 weeks ago. The two definite roos are chest bumping and feather ruffling at each other all the time. They leave my two polish and EE pullet completely alone. No aggression towards them at all. This polish with the wattles shows no aggression towards anyone. Sweet as can be. Could a polish hen have these red wattles at 9 weeks? This one with the wattles is also a bit bigger than the other polish.

I'd be so sad to have to let either of these polish go...here's hoping....

Check the hair do's don't they look girly on both?

I'd appreciate any feedback from any polish fans!

Here is Joe (check out the red wattles!)

Still Joe here, but what a girly hair do! Is there any hope for her to be a pullet??

This is Joe's "sister" Moe No wattles!

Here the two are together, Moe is standing (pullet?) and Joe is laying down (cockerel?) they are always together and really seem too be friends. I'd be so sad to have to part with one...

Jennieschicks,
I posted some pics a couple weeks ago of mine (younger than yours with red wattles) All 3 ended up being male. I had a girly hairdo one too, but it started mounting a female Sultan. Wishing you the best of luck, But I think Joe may be male!

Here's a picture timeline of Pauly D, our Golden Polish Rooster. We just found out last week, when he began to crow, and grow amazing waddles.

See him there, in the middle, with a tiny cottonball afro?

There he is, next to a Cornish Rock X ^

He doesn't like to look at us (maybe because he can't see us!)

The next picture is the most recent, taken today (7/22) at 9 weeks.

I have 11 Polish :) They are all under a year old and by next year I'll be selling chicks! :) I love all my Polish, they are very sweet!

Gala Polish Needed!

Do you know anyone who sells adult Polish chickens in the Monterey or Santa Cruz area, even as far as Napa? Getting a chicken coop and raising hens had become the rage at our Santa Cruz Waldorf school where I'm the Development Director. I want to buy a really showy Polish hen to auction off at our big fundraising dinner on October 6. Thanks in advanced for any tips you can provide.

Warm Regards,

Bryce Eberhart

Love Polish - the roo 6th from the bottom, is that red I'm seeing in the feathering, or a trick of the lighting? I just got rid of a White Crested Blue because it had red leakage in the feathering. You might want to be aware of that for breeding purposes.
