Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must share! We have been working with a close friend to bring the bantam white crested chocolate back to Coyote Night Acres and while we had a handful of birds we were retaining every eggs we got and it was a slow process to hopefully be able to offer them next year. So the other day she tells me she is cutting back on her birds and is selling the entire flock of WC chocolate and khaki...... I got first dibs and brought the entire flock home. So Just a little share, the frizzled Khaki roo is not pictured or our smooth khaki roo and some of the hens both frizzle and smooth. We are excited and because we already have so many eggs in our incubator from the flock already I will be offering hatching eggs very soon once they settle in.
Wow what a find!

omg! They are gorgeous! Where do you live? I want some eggs! We have wcb and we got them from great stock. I just have to say something. there is this lady in california who raises white polish. She will not sell any of hers! So she just kills all her roosters and any chick that isnt perfect to her! They are beautiful quality too! Can you believe how greedy and heartless people can be! The poor chicks are beautiful and she doesnt even give them a chance unless they are perfect because she doesnt want anyone else to be competing with her! sorry if you are the woman and read this, but this doesnt just come from me and my family.

The time has come, to move my 2 polish in with my silkies. My rooster has no tailfeathers, and my female got hers pecked to a big bloody mess today. :(

Poor Polish! Let them heal in the bloody areas before you put them in with other chickens. Chickens whether bantams or not will love to pick at the bloody spots. Let the Polish heal and then put them in/around the gentle Silkies.
