I read on here somewhere that when there a day old the puffs on there heads are more round for the females and smaller for the males, I thought it would have been a roo,

I just loved looking at the pictures some of them really knock my socks off

God what I would give for some of them I just started, my niece gave me 2 of hers. Their only 10 weeks old right now and boy are they easy to handle. I can hold my girls but not like them! I wanted one buff but my nieces daughter selected the chipmunk for me because she liked the buff. She's 8 yrs old so I let it be. Plus, I got 5 girls for free. 1 black ? 2 buff orpingtons and 2 silkies. Then for Easter (a few days after) he gave me some pekin ducks! Whew Keep the pictures coming! Love watching them!

I've got a buff laced polish chick who is about 5-6 weeks old and has some red in his/her little v-comb already! He has a much more "mo-howak" looking hair-do compared to some of the other chicks with the more full/fountain looking hair-dos

At what age can I assume redness in the comb to be sex indicative? These polish are my first experience with v-comb poultry and usually I've been accurate sexing my other chicks around this age by the redness in their combs....

what age would you say polish are able to be accurately sexed? Any help would be much appreciated!

THANK YOU!

so this is a pair of 6 week old polish babies, queenie and elvis... your thoughts on sex. Elvis(B/W) has a tiny bit of red on wattles, but they are still pretty tiny. At 6 weeks are we getting to early mature or just figure roo?
