When I first seen a Polish, I thought they were funny looking. But now that I have one, I'm SOOOOO in love with the polish breed. They are to darn cute!

Same here. Except now that we have ducklings here, I'm completely falling in love with the messy little devils. Hubby just had one word. NO. I'll wear him down.

Lol..there's more than one way to get a yes from a man...lol..

My lil EEs and banty chicks are popping like popcorn in the hatcher..had to cull one that had intestine coming out and had ruptured his yolk probably 12 hours or so before pipping..it was awful but I imagine slowly dying or having your intestines eaten by other hatchlings would be much worse.

Okay...is this one of those killer hornets? That is a full size Bic lighter. .and it took about 600 smacks with a fly swatter to die. .

lol..probably didn't help that I was using a 1930s swatter. . I have only ever seen one of these 3 other times..I'm not afraid of bees and usually let them go on about their business (as opposed to killing EVERY spider)..but this one made it inside and no way was I risking it getting POd and stinging someone..it made our horse flies look like sweat bees

How old is she and do you know what she's mixed with? At about 1 month, my Sebright/Polish mix cockerel started developing an obvious comb, but it might be different for other mixed breeds.

She is almost 8 weeks....and I'm unsure what she is mixed with. The flock had Orpingtons, Wyandottes, and Polish. Not sure if there were any other breeds....maybe Americana?
