Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics
I read on the internet yesterday that the tolbunt is a cross between the gold laced and the mottled houdans. Then you just take the babies and breed them together. Is this true? Anyone know? I mean they obviously were cross bred to something in order to make it in the first place, know what I mean?

i live in ga and i am dieing to own a calico tolbunt polish chick!! anyone know where to look for a such?

I have 1 buff laced, 2 gold laced, and 1 mottled houdan, all st. runs. If you go by who's growing feathers on their crest first, then it looks like 1 gold laced is a girl and the other 3 are boys. Lovely. I'm also wanting silver laced, as they're just so pretty, but all the places I'm finding so far will not sex bantams. What do you guys do with all the roos you end up with that you don't want? Grow them up and eat them? And what would happen if I bred my gold and buff together? Or is that a no-no? I just picked up all 10 of my chicks of various breeds between 2-3 1/2 weeks of age and tried vent sexing them. They all look the same to me and I don't see any "bump" on any of them. However, I don't know what I'm looking for either. Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to sex and is there something that shows a picture or a drawing and shows the difference so I know what to look for?

I have been successful in taking my excess bantam Polish roos to the chicken swaps and re-homing them.

No, I would not breed a gold and buff together. I keep my different colors in separate pens for breeding.

Does this mean I have 1 roo & 1 pullet just b/c the feathers are coming in faster on the one? Or is it all individual?
They're about 2 1/2 weeks old.

My buff laced in the front and mottled houdan in the back.

Here's another pic of them. Do you think they're boys or girls?

These are my first 2 polish I have ever had. They are so adorable I had to do a mini photo shot of them. Many more pictures throw every step of growing up.
