Finally got my silver polish chicks yesterday along with some more golds and buffs.

Can anyone show me what I should look for to tell if a young polish is a roo? I'm going to a friends tomorrow who has some polish but they were straight run so I'm supposed to help her out and give her my opinion on whether I think she has any roo's or not. So I have a general idea of what to look for but I just want to make sure I'll get it pretty close to correct.

I'm pretty new to Polish doubt I'll be much help. Maybe you can take a pic& share? Others might know a lot more then me. Some say look at hair tuffs&shape but some look at feet&how they walk then there's always the tips of the feathers.

Check out my white crest blue !! He's 7 weeks and started his crowing today!! It's a pretty pathetic crow but he's very serious about it !

She doesn't know the exact age but about 3 weeks.

I doubt you'd be able to figure anything out at that age. But GL! Even at 14 weeks I wasn't sure my red was a hen. Its wattles were more reddish than this frizzle roo thats 6 mths.

I was wondering, are your Polish kind of flighty? I'm used to huge Brahmas & Cochins, birds that can't be flighty. Should I just be hugging my Polish more?
