Number 1 could be a girl, but I need a front view over the crest. Its the same way as number 2otherwise. It does have a more rounded and poofy area on its crest though, that could be a girl.
Number 2 is suspicious because it has a lot of poof in the back, but is ovaled. The second pic looks more like a girl.
Number three loks like a boy because its flat and long
Number 4 and 5 are positive girls, a roo would not have that much beard.
Yaya! We had two eggs make it to the end of hatch and the white crested black hatched. My mom slightly helped the white one so it is resting. It pipped last night but it neede help this morning. We could tell because it was cheaping. My mom is gret with helping chicks. She peels away at their pip, careful not to pull a membrane, just so it can breath. Sometimes they finish, but other times my mom helps them a it more. Though, on rare occasion she fully helps. To make sure a cbick doesnt bleed to death, we wet the membran to see if the veins are bloody and then we know if its safe.
I know what you will say, dont help! But we have had a few chicks that would not have hatched without us. One silkie was two days late and my mom helped it and its very okay. Though it lives with a friend now.
Thank you! I knew Rida and Hilga were girls lol they give me the best eggs!
I hope your right! Although I would love 3 girls but I wouldn't mind a polish roo so I could have polish babies!
