That is my goal too. We purchased 17 birds from a feed store and 3 developed severely crooked beaks, and only one didn't need to be culled.

Oh dear I have tons of breeds! I have partridge rocks, RIR's, silver spangled hamburg,bantam cochins, bantam light brahma, a few hybrids of my own creation, Ee's, and some more I can't remember right now

Lol. I think between the 2 of you, you've got every breed a person could want..other than the heritage RIR that I want to add, the only other breed I think I may add is a long tailed variety like a Phoenix..
I did see a breed called a mule train maybe, a guy posted a chick and a roo on a hatching thread I'm on and it was gorgeous..so maybe 2 more breeds..lol

I haven't done much research on them yet, but I wonder if they are naturally aggressive? My game banties are super sweet but their parents were as mean as a rattle snake. .I also handled mine from day 1 and I don't think the parents were ever handled

Lol..my red roo would fight a broom if he thought it was making a move on his girls..I let my banties out to free range and he immediately stole 2 of the 3 hens from my poor lil roo..the third is independent and pretty much told them both to kiss her hiney, she was going bug hunting..lol..

Haha. He goes after the turkey girls sometimes...it works really well. (not) We had to separate him from our hens he was beating on them.
