Been noticing the colored dab in some beaks&wondering if it's a sign of something during foot color changing.

We handle ours every day. A couple are mild but when we first open the cage they usually seem skidish. I really think the hair tuffs just put them in a less aware zone,,,so they are gonna startle easy.
Thanks for the response. I guess I'm just not used to birds being so flighty. My Brahmas all come right up to you from the start. I guess I will have to handle them more. Thanks again!

Your white maybe white and not a buff. Colour genetics are not my strong point but I believe you need both parents with black and white genes to create a solid white or a solid black. Don't take this as gospel as I'm not fully sure. I will try and find you a colour chart out.

I bred white crested black hens and a silver lace roo and got either black or white chicks.

They are coming well, but your right these awkward weeks are funny! :lau

Your top two pics are very interesting colours.
Thanks. Nothing in this group is breedable quality I don't think. I might be able to put the gold lace ones back together to get tolbunt since they came from at least one tolbunt parent but otherwise they're just for lawn ornaments lol. I'm not really sure what to call the top two. The breeder said they would be the candy corns, but idk...the one on the right looks like the crele

I was thinking crele too for the one on the right, the left hand one is very interesting. I will look forward to seeing what it's like when it's fully grown :pop

I've just had a hatch of Tolbunt eggs but some have come out looking gold lace and others have come out more back than brown but still with the white of Tolbunt :idunno What they will end up like I don't know!
