Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is Afro with his ponytail. He really hates it, though its hard to tell in the picture. I think its uncomfortable for them to have the feathers pulled in a different direction than the way that they grew in. I have waist-length hair, and when I let it down from a ponytail, the roots are on fire! So I imagine that is similar to the way that chickens feel about having ponytails.
A few years ago we had a WCB (White Crested Black) Polish who was picked on. The other birds pecked her crest so much that she was left with just a fringe of feathers. She looked pretty gnarly, but I doubt she liked it much. I would suggest letting your new bird in with the others to see how they get along, and if she gets picked on then you can take measures to help her find a place on the pecking order. Also, the bittys in that picture are adorable! Cotton must be a real sweety to be able to stay with the little birds.
Good luck!

I give mine haircuts, which works well if you don't mind the look of it. Mine are pretty aggressive free rangers and they needed to see.
