Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just picked up my first chickies yesterday...

And my blue polish is already my favorite!!! As the smallest of the group I am pretty sure that she is already at the bottom of the totem pole, but she does not even care! She pushes her way into a sleeping pile and antagonizes her way up to the feeder. And as I am sitting with them now I am pretty sure that she is snoring!

She was the only one I named before they arrived... Lola (like a showgirl).

Hello Everyone! I am so excited to find a thread all about Polish chickens

I adopted, two bantam Polish chicks, a few weeks ago. They are about four months old and absolutely adorable! I was wondering if anyone can tell if they are boys or girls. Their names are Beldar and Primat. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so I've contacted several of you individually but haven't had much luck so I'm going to address the whole group one more time.

I'm near Houston, TX. I'd like a couple of frizzled polish chickens. Pet quality is fine because our HOA will not allow us to breed. Would LOVE a CUCKOO but also like WC black and blues. We sold our incubator and cannot justify the expense of buying another one for a couple of birds so I am in need of chicks, not eggs. Is there ANYONE out there willing to sell me a few day old chicks? I shipped day-olds weekly when we bred and it was VERY easy to do! . Please let me know if you or anyone you know will ship some babies or is close to Houston for pickup. Thanks so much!

Well, they are really hard to tell at this age and i can only see the one on the right side very well. i have noticed that the pullets have the shorter, " boxier" tails. which the one on the right has. i cannot see the tail of the one on the left but you can check and see if it looks the same or if it is longer ( male) and more pointed i would say you would have one of each.

Thank you Silkie Sue

The one on the right, Primat, does seem to have the shorter tail. Beldar has a longer tail and a more angular crest. I think you are right about having one of each. I keep changing my mind about which one is male and female. . I will try to get more photos tomorrow. Thanks for your help!
