Honestly, the ads you see are customized to something that you have, or would be be inclined to be interested in (interest good or bad) and click on... and you may very well be the only one on BYC seeing that particular ad.
You could try to contact Google directly and ask that they refrain from serving ads that bother you. In the interim if you find the ads offensive, please create a bookmark directly to the forum and then you can directly bypass the pages with those ads.
BTW, the more we discuss it, the more probability there will be that the ads will show up (here's a fun discussion on the topic) so if there are any other questions or concerns about specific ads, or anything else related to this thread, please send me a Private Message.
