This is a case of the Mexican officials seeing an American with a motor home and a load of camping gear that they wanted So when they saw the paper that said gun then they took everything. I would bet that all his stuff has been sold and the border cops got the money.This is just another example of the double standard in government. That guy ended up in jail, but the US Justice Department and the Mexican aduana can turn a blind eye to whole arsenals crossing the border. Somebody got something for looking the other way. The cartels got to someone in the Justice Department.
Pena Nieto says he is going to handle the situation in a different manner. He probably will just revert to the business as usual policy that prevailed before PAN came to power. Expect to see more drugs and violence on this side of the border.
