I'm not sure if I'm legal or not...but I've seen other people in our small Indiana town with chickens, and someone even keeps sheep in their yard! We only have one neighbor, (who wants to get chickens too!) and they are ok with our chickens. So we're on a don't ask don't tell kind of policy!

Legal. When we were looking into the whole chickens thing, we asked the County what to do and they gave a dull look and said, "Uhh....ask your neighbors if it's okay?"
