I sleep on the floor right now (all of our stuff is in Texas now!).

But, usually my dh will make it. It is nice to get into a made bed at night. Don't know why.

When I was little I always had to make it, since I've lived on my own, I've staunchly refused to do so.

There needs to be an "other" option.

We don't make it up super well, just enough to keep the sand from 2 big dogs getting on the bottom sheet. Not what you could call "made up" at all.

I like it made up, I prefer it made up, but I don't get around to it every day. Making the bed serious cuts into my goofing-off-on-BYC time and we can't have that.

My thoughts exactly Southernbelle!
and Making the bed keeps the cat out of it.
(runs and makes bed)

I make mine every day. It makes a room look MUCH cleaner. I dont like to sit on or look at a crumpled comforter. It makes me uncomfortable.
Trying to sleep in a messy bed makes me feel like a mess too

After 30 years in the military, I've made enough beds to last a lifetime BUT I cannot stand a messy bed, room, closet, etc. SO my compromise is that I use fitted sheets on the bottom and a flat sheet for a cover. I fold it when I get up. That's all that's on the bed except the pillows. In cold weather (I live in Alabama), I put on more clothes instead of adding covers. Works for me and my bed is never "unmade" since there really isn't anything to "make."
