I have 9 golden comet hens and they lay a big brown egg almost everyday. They are also very quiet and gentle.

Australorps, they even lay through the hot summers here. Very consistent in size too. My EE's are good but the size varies and they are picky about the heat and cold.
The Australorp are my friendliest birds.

My Blue mixed breed hens (EEx Maran roo out of Blue Andalusian X Silver Spangled Hamburg hen) are the very best followed by my BO and EE hens. My Golden Laced Bantam Cochins are very good layers also when they are laying. My worst ever was a Silkie.

Easter eggers. They lay beautiful eggs.

They are also tied with brahmas. They lay beautiful creamy white circular eggs.
