But does it taste like a sweet potato? The only way I've ever been able to eat them was in what my mom called: sweet potato fluff. Its essentially a whole bag of mini marshmellows, brown sugar, vanilla and sweet potatos. It does not taste like a sweet potato.

Nah. The greeks invented it. Also keep in mind that any great thing that originated in Europe we (america as a whole) stole and made our own thing. Then again the british and spanish did the same thing to every other country they came across. So who's to say what belongs to whom?
