But does it taste like a sweet potato? The only way I've ever been able to eat them was in what my mom called: sweet potato fluff. Its essentially a whole bag of mini marshmellows, brown sugar, vanilla and sweet potatos. It does not taste like a sweet potato.

Nah. The greeks invented it. Also keep in mind that any great thing that originated in Europe we (america as a whole) stole and made our own thing.
