Plenty of shade trees near the barn and in barn pasture where the girls free-range. Six different water fount locations, constantly being cleaned/refreshed :D Step-in water tray in run, wet down the dirt in shady locations for cooling those chicken toes, ice packs (tucked inside homemade fabric pockets) placed inside coop. And now waiting on an indoor/outdoor barn fan to hang outside the coop to replace my ancient (fire hazard 😲) box fan, which has served me well for 13 years!

My coop and enclosed covered run are well shaded. The run has plenty of dirt and is about 75% covered for two layers of shade. The coop has about 3 sf of ventilation per bird. I always have plenty of clean water (in cup drinkers) but on days that are 101+ I have some 18V battery-powered misting fans that I put on 5-gallon buckets outside the run to cool the air a bit. If the humidity is high, I'll just run the fans to be sure the air is circulating without adding more moisture.
