What time in the morning? Just curious!
Right now around 8am (It's winter here) but in Summer about 6.30am
As soon as the sun comes up. That is when it is the coolest, so I cut some fresh chard and spinach, maybe have some melon rind from the night before and open the door at around 6:00 a.m. I don't close them back up until dark, but sometimes they are soooo sleepy, they have all ready trooped in and are sleeping when I close them up.
between 7:00 and 8:00 , depending on how fast i shower, get the kids breakfast, the dogs medicine , feed the rabbits then head out to let the chickens out, cause i like to hang for a few minutes and talk to them, lol
Between 6 and 6:30, and the first thing they do is rush the bird feeders and then the rabbit coups LOL.
Whenever I get out there.
After I make DH's lunch and shove him out the door to start his day, I pour a cup of coffee and take it out to the coop...around 7ish
This time of year, I leave the pop up door open, as my run totally encloses my hen house. They like getting up and out early.
Quote:I second this one. They don't seem to care whenever it is. But they have gotten to like free-ranging and beg to be let out of the run. If I don't open the run door right away, they clamber around squawking at me. It's quite funny to watch them now.
