As soon as the sun comes up. That is when it is the coolest, so I cut some fresh chard and spinach, maybe have some melon rind from the night before and open the door at around 6:00 a.m. I don't close them back up until dark, but sometimes they are soooo sleepy, they have all ready trooped in and are sleeping when I close them up.
between 7:00 and 8:00 , depending on how fast i shower, get the kids breakfast, the dogs medicine , feed the rabbits then head out to let the chickens out, cause i like to hang for a few minutes and talk to them,lol

I second this one. They don't seem to care whenever it is. But they have gotten to like free-ranging and beg to be let out of the run. If I don't open the run door right away, they clamber around squawking at me. It's quite funny to watch them now.
