My new Pom gander has such good manners (except where strange dogs are concerned).
The goose is on the nest and the gander is on guard duty. He has settled down and he lies about 5 feet from the entrance to the nest, keeping guard. But apparently, he accepts that I am the flock master and walk where I wish. So when I look at the nest, he doesn't even bother to stand up. He gave me a hiss when I got between him and the nest, Not very scary, lying there all comfortable and hissing.
The goose, though..... I don't mess with her. When I get too close, she lowers her head and gives me the stink eye. Any closer and she gives out this low Rottweiler rumble. I'm not sticking my hand in there!
