So begins the biological disaster that I knew would happen. Pond is no longer clear after 3 days of ducks being ducks . Let's hope the microbes wake up and start doing their job!!

Thank you! It's way prettier than I could have ever done myself so it was worth the 8 year wait considering the cost. We'll see how it looks after it's cycled (2-3 months probably).

Curious, what was the price?

A little over a month in, and the algae bloom is stable, but I'm having to do some extra mechanical filtration to pull the algae out. The Nitrates are stable at 25ppm, so while that's not ideal, the biofilter is keeping up with the huge amount of duck poop, and this is only after 4 weeks. Even frogs have taken up residence (although I fear for their safety).
