Pool time will never be the same

I just came in from chasing my infuriating male Pekin, Meemers. He literally runs/chases the females down and isn't very nice when he "catches" them. I went running out there with the fly swatter to get him off and the chase was on. Even my little Sebastopol girl was yelling at him. I wish she would just grab him by the neck and fling him around

Anyways, I had him cornered by the pool which the 2 pigs have taken over

and he runs throught that splashing me with nasty pig water. Needless to say I called him a few choice names and came in and washed up. I think I need to find him a home the little jerk

I think if I would get rid of him my flock of ducks would be fine. I currently have 4 males and 8 females. The other boys, Black Runner, Tan/White Runner mix, and a Khaki are angels compared to Meemers.

LOL

Well I guess I'm getting off easy then. My two boys are runners and standing up and clapping in their direction is usually enough.

This might be the wrong thread to ask in, but can a drake have too many ducks?

My geese would NOT put up with ducks mating in their pool! They would tear couples apart in the act. Since I wanted some ducklings I built a secluded pool out of sight with entrances that were too small for the geese to get in. The ducks would slip off to this pool to get the job done after attracting a mate by the main pool. I would not say they were descrete about it but it ended the public mating of those horny ducks and the geese were shy and didn't do it while anyone was around.~gd

We have separated our drakes and hens because someone was going to get killed (3:3). I let them all out in the yard together to forage while I clean the houses. Call myself the ducky sex police because I spend more time saving the hens than I do cleaning. We have one drake that is just awful.
