Pools in the winter?

You could always have 2 of these. I plan on picking up another since my flock has grown.

No, ducks don’t need a pool in the winter, or ever. Of course it’s a little odd to never let your duck swim.
As long as they can still dunk their heads, they are fine. In the winter, I have always used the plastic coffee cans. If they keep dumping it (mine rarely do) try adding something heavy, like a rock.

Yup, they need to get their heads wet. Mine get cement mixing tubs in the winter too, about once a week at least. Those tubs are cheap and indestructible. Got mine at Lowe’s for under $20.
