Crowing
I’m wondering what kind of sand people use for their poop boards. I’m making almost like a rectangle “litter box” that goes under the roost to catch the poop and i wanted to use some sort of sand or something. Anyone have any ideas?

This is what I use, too. Low dust. Absorbs ammonia odors. I sift it 1 or 2x daily with a kitty litter scoop. Easy peasy!I use Sweet PDZ or Horse Fresh by Standlee both are zeolite. Works great for my poop boards!

I HIGHLY recommend it. Takes me just a few minutes to scoop out 30 sq ft of poop board. This is what i’m looking for something easy i can just scoop the poop out daily!
Do you do the deep bedding method for the floor? (i think that’s what it’s called)I HIGHLY recommend it. Takes me just a few minutes to scoop out 30 sq ft of poop board.
That's a good option. I do pine shavings in my coop. I sweep them out into the run, where i have deep litter. Also takes just a few minutes for me. Just be sure it's genuinely deep. I used to do deep bedding in my coop, but that's before I had ducks. They are too wet for that to work well.Do you do the deep bedding method for the floor? (i think that’s what it’s called)
