My new chicks pecked ANYTHING including poo!

My first set of chicks did not do that, but now I have 2 new chicks and they grab a piece of shavings with poo stuck on it an run around and chase each other like it is the best treat they have ever seen. Its hysterical. If I see it, I do take it away because of the ick factor but I bet they do it all day while I'm at work.
