Poop getting stuck in feathers

I have some Cornish rocks X and one of them seems to have an issue with poop getting stuck in its feathers and then it starts piling up and it kinda looks like the skin is getting red. What should I do to rectify this issue? I tried washing the poop off the bird but it just happened again. They only have 4 weeks left.

I'm new to this back yard chicken thing, so i didn't know if I could do that. I was thinking about it but wasn't sure so I figured i'd ask.

Right now I have over 60! Of course, I'll have to cut down before winter, as they don't forage as much. Its hard to choose which ones to keep and which ones to use for meat.

That's way more than I could handle right now. My wife did ask when we were getting more though. I think we should see how we do with these before getting any more. She said she will be leaving when it's time to butcher the meat chickens though.

Yeah, I never watch the chickens being killed either. As funny as it may sound, I don't even enjoy the meat as much, even though its suppose to be better tasting and better for you. But I'm in a family of 8, so any meat I don't really eat is sure to be gobbled up really fast.
