Anyone seen this before? My chickens all seem ok, just molting right now, some way more than others.

That's good! How old is your flock? I would inspect everyones crop at night, see if anyone isn't eating. I saw this in my young hens when they were kept away from the food by the bigs. I added more feed areas so everyone could eat and haven't seen it anymore.

That looks like quite of bit of intestinal shed and urates.

I'd consider deworming the flock. Now is the time to do so if they are molting and not in lay, you don't have to worry about egg withdrawal periods so much.

Valbazen is the dewormer to use during molt. Dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10 days.

You can order it online https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=30E07949-7B6A-11D5-A192-00B0D0204AE5

Thanks for your reply! Just so happens we just purchased another feeder last weekend. There have been pecking order changes the flock, and we also have some chicks (3 months+) who have just been introduced to the flocks and are going through the pecking order. I will keep my eye out and maybe purchase another feeder just for good measure. Our hen flock ranges from 1yr to 1.5yrs, besides the 3 month olds.

Thank you! If I see it again, will do. Is it ok to feed squash or pumpkin instead?
