What is cecal poop?

Foamy cecal poop is not normal. Here is a post that shows almost perfect poops.

Luckily, I haven't seen any foamy poop. I have seen the dark brown cecal poop in their cage, and it always kind of worried me. But it's normal?

I just checked her vent and it's got a purpleish tint. I know it's hard to see in the picture, but does it look normal?

She's a silkie, right? If she's a silkie then yes that's normal. They have blue/blackish skin

That's what I thought. I think I'm just paranoid.

Probably It's normal for us to be paranoid when we are worried about our babies.

You probably don't want to know all the details-- but trust me. I know what color a silkie vent is, because one of our silkie hens had a prolapse. LOL

Oh, geez. I was just reading about that, too. I would see tissue if that were the case, right?

Oh yeah, yours definitely doesn't have a prolapse. It's really gross looking when that happens, and the tissues inside of silkies is still red (like any other chickens) so you'd definitely be able to tell.

When I first saw it I thought she was just bleeding a lot from her vent.

I don't think so. It doesn't smell strong at all.
