Pooping blood and weak?

Not sure if this has been said.. just trying to add info in case it hasn't.. But if she is open beak breathing it usually means they are in pain. I think you can try giving her some aspirin. Does anyone know the dose? I have forgotten. Whatever you do, don't give her a full human aspirin... I think its something like 1/4th of a pill for a standard size chicken. This can help with the pain, and sometimes if it takes care of the pain the chicken will begin eating again.

She's not producing any cecal poop, so I am almost 100% sure the blood is coming from the ceca. You might be right, it could be tissue and blood.
Hi Kathy! Can you fill me in. I just got here.. Was it indeed Cocci? Does Cocci reside in the ceca? It really does look like she's shedding lining of something connected to the anus (obviously). I'm concerned its some sort of serious internal infection, obviously causing a lot of pain for the bird. (If a bird isn't eating, its hurting a lot) Could it be from the cloaca? When is the last time she laid an egg? Could one have perhaps broken inside on its way out and cut the oviduct?

To the OP- has she laid an egg recently and was there blood inside of it?

She is 4 and I don't think she lays eggs.

There is one strain that resides in the ceca, tenella, I think. I just looked back at one of the pictures and it looks like one of the poo piles is a combo of blood and cecal poop, so I really do think this is cecal coccidiosis, but I could be wrong.

She was pooping non-bloody, fairly normally yesterday, but this morning I found bloody poop. I'm worried she's not drinking enough because she's in pain, and therefore not getting enough medicine. She made a small raspy noise whenever she pooped last night like it hurt her, plus panting a lot. Would it hurt to give her apple cider vinegar just in case she might have worms? I also want to give her rosemary for pain and probiotic yogurt to help heal her digestive system. Should I give her the yogurt after I treat her with Corid or give her some now? Or not at all?
Another thing to note about her that's odd is she doesn't lay eggs. I think she stopped laying after my other hen passed away, or maybe when I got my rooster a couple years ago. When she did lay, eggs would be slow, but she's a silkie, not a high producing breed. Then there would be very long periods of time where I wouldn't get an egg. When my other hen fell ill a couple years ago, I moved Honey and Coffee (the rooster) into a cage in the garage. That was in summer, and I haven't put them back out since their pen has been overgrown and needs a lot of work to get cleaned up again. Since they've been in there, Honey hasn't laid much at all. Once, she laid, but the egg broke right away. Another time she laid normally. I don't think she's laid since then. But that was a few months ago, so if she was egg bound, she wouldn't have lived this long. Honey was never the layer out of the two, I figured that's just how she is.
See above post.

You did say she had one that had a broken shell though right? Did I read that right? Was that one of her last eggs laid?
