Pooping something bloody - graphic pic

I found this broiler this eve with this 3/8" diameter, spiral, bloody mess hanging out of his/her bottom. Almost looks like a prolapse of some sort. It was dripping thick blood. I promptly ended the chickens life but I'm really curious what the condition is? This is a first - never saw this before. The bird is about 5 weeks.

Hi, she most likely (It's hard to ever be 100% sure with chickens) had a heart attack, lived through it, but the force pumping throughout her body led to some "pooping" just so happens it was the internal organs, rather than the poop.
