poops on my chickie rumps..

any body know the best way to get it off with out hurtin them?

IT COMES RIGHT OFF JUST PULL IT OFF LIK YOU PULL A BAND AID OFF ON YOUR OWN SKIN
IT MAY TAKE SOME CHICK DOWN. BUT IF YOU DONT REMOVE IT FROM THE VENT IT WILL KILL A PEEP IN HOURS

I take an old container (like a plastic Coolwhip tub), place some fairly warm water in it and hold their little rump down in it to "soften" up the poo. Then I take a paper towel (or some towel you can throw away) and remove it gently.

My chicks always seem to love the warmness of the H20.

I dry them off a bit with a towel and put them back in the brooder then. They are always fine from it.

I soak a q-tip in warm water and then gently pick the poo off. After wards I put some vaseline around the vent to deter futher build up.
