Well,then..if you want to cull them, then cull them. Nothing wrong with that either!

As long as you get the little ones away from the big ones...

Yea, we're planning to do it very soon. We're gonna keep the young smaller rooster to breed back to his relatives and strangers for meat/eggs.

I hope she'll be there when we get there tomorrow.

I have 2 Sebright hens living in my coop with all my standard chickens, hens and roosters. They get along fine, nobody picks on the Sebrights. They CAN live together, its just motr risky and you must keep an eye on them. Sometimes it doesnt work.

Yea, we had many OEGB's and they were fine there was one maybe half the size of a man's fist maybe even smaller that lived outside for weeks and didn't die (lots of snow) and when she got inside with the big ones she lived just fine fitting into society. But, until one day they decided to be a cannibal they ate her. That was her doom.

I hope your hen gets better!

Just don't put anymore lives in danger.. About a year ago my molly had babies in the big fish tank. About 40 little black mollies were born! Only 3 survived... Mommy molly ate them along with other fish in the tank. Then the mollies had babies again. We bought a seperater when one of them was pregnant and took out the mom when they were born. I learned from my mistake!

Just a little story to relate kind of. I also lost fish to my chickens when I put goldfish in this make-shift pond that is now a lumpy area in my frontyard

So, you put her back anyway? See, this is what shouldn't happen. She should not have been exposed to them again, not even for a few minutes. You can't just "try to process the roos soon" after an attack like that.
