I have a chick that's having some problems with its legs. It doesn't seem to be in pain and can walk but its legs seem week. Sometimes its legs will give out on it while its walking around and lays down from time to time. I started giving multivitamins and brought it inside the house to keep it warm. Anyone else have this problem?

From now on ensure she's always on a non slippery floor until healed, now

Here are some pics of Guiney. I don't know if they're helpful or not. It's acting like this for about a week now. The only other thing that might have caused this was from when it jumped from a crate down to the ground. Maybe might have landed wrong?

So today when I checked its legs they either slide out to the side or its stumbling over its toes. Its toes seem "week". They just kind of flop around. They wont stay straight. It hard to explain but hopefully someone can help me with this soon because I'm clueless about what to do!

It looks like she could have developed splayed legs. If her toes are too weak to stay straight and causing her to trip etc. you could take a piece of cardboard and cut it in the rough shape of her foot, and then attach it with duct tape, making sure to straighten and space the toes. I would adhere something course to the bottom of the"shoe" so she doesn't slide worse, like smear a bit of white glue on the bottom and dunk it in sand etc.

Ok. I'm going to give that a try. How long do I leave the "shoes" on? What causes splayed legs? It being a silky, americana-barred rock mix wouldn't have anything to do with it developing this problem would it?
