You should seperate broody hens from the flock. It's safer for the hen, eggs and chicks. It also makes for easy supervision in case mom isn't a good mom.Thanks cause I was gonna separate him from the hens. That was my only silkie. All my other hens r bantams of different sizes but nothing fancy like my silkie was. Will my hens do this again to another one of my bantam hens if she starts to brood? I don't wanna find another dead hen like this.
