Hello
Had chickens when I was a kid.... Had a great Grandma that kept bringing us chickens from Bakersfield, Ca. all the way up to GrassValley, Ca....
Got a wife who is from Istanbul, Turkey, a city gal but loves country life.... We were living in the Fl. Keys the last 12 years but have moved up to the Redlands area, between Homestead and the Everglades. Love it. so quiet.
Now to see if I can get help with one of new hens eye problem...

We have one little feisty silky rooster, a dark gray hen, some unknown chicks and one sick brown hen....
She is not better yet, runny nose, swollen eye and raspy breathing... She is on tetracycline and got better then suddenly got worse. Will look for info here and go to the nearby feedstore in the AM....

Reading...... From What I see on here, it all sounds like infectious bronchitis.... So far.... Still reading...... got her on tetracycline..... Some mention of apple cider vinegar in their water, but not sure what that is about.... Learning experience..... but late here in South Florida and time to get to bed...
