Popped at wrong end

Hi! So this morning I woke up to a pip on the wrong end of the shell. The pip had broken the shell but the membrane was still closed. I'm afraid the chick might drown if he isn't getting any air to him. What should I do?!

someone please help! the chick has broken through the shell but the outer membrane is still untouched. the chick is at the small end of the egg so i dont think he's getting any air.

I just had this happen and posted about it on the assisted hatch thread. I would pinch the membrane if it didn't break through so it can breathe, then wait, leaving it wrapped in a damp paper towel. It will not have absorbed the yolk sack yet because of the position. Your egg, your decision but I took the chance with mine because without help it was dead for sure.
