*deep breath* Okay...
The place grows constantly. New cities are being built, new discoveries are being made, and the universe itself is expanding.
Akihabara is one of the biggest places in the entire animeverse. Madoka, Miku, and Azusa all live in a huge tower in the center of the city. All around the city are trains and highways, criss-crossing among the city. If you take the train outside from the city, you'll see rolling hills and beautiful mountains everywhere.
Kagutsuchi is a beautiful city undergoing repairs. Ragna, Litchi, and Yotsuba all live there, among its odd steampunk-esque architecture. The city's style is steampunk mixed with old Chinese, resulting in a very unique style of decor. Every weekend, a huge farmer's market is held, selling nearly everything you can think of.
Hakurei is my favorite place. It's a little town out in a mountain basin. Tons of rice is grown there, and the farms stretch out as far as the eye can see. The actual village of Hakurei is a beautiful, picturesque town, with lots of shops and cafes. The Yakumo family, Binchou-tan, and several happy families and little girls live there. Koishi visits often, too.
The people are all very nice, as well. Strangers will walk up to you and chat up a conversation about the weather, your clothing, music, anything! Of course, there are several shy people as well, but most will give you a friendly smile. People considered unkind are still friendly, but just not as kind as most, and they're more prone to teasing you. If there are any villains (Like the two I had to deal with a while back), entire gangs will spontaneously form to take them out.
As such, they have no need for an army, but they still house one on the floating continent named Heian. On Heian, several tens of millions of soldiers all live in a garden paradise.
There are several other places, shrines, and the skies themselves are beautiful.
