I would love a deep red silkie. Sonoran Silkies i tried to pm you but your inbox is full. I was wondering how i might see all the different colors you breed?

He is cute but I am think of this color:

Fowlrus, your red is really somewhere between a dark buff and a red. Hackles and crest definitely need to be darker. Here is my red:

As you can see, he is not nearly as dark as Herechickchick posted, but is a little darker than Fowlrus's.

Talking of making dark red. I think crossing to black to try to pick up meanisers, then crossing the offspring & selecting the red offspring would darken red. It happened that was when crossing black mottled Orps with reds, while making jubilees.

He have white around the neck and similar tail color. Needless to say, I give both away and forget about the red all together. But I had to admit, Red is a very pretty color for silkie/showgirl, maybe someday, some one can breed a true red silkie/showgirl. Are you going to work on that color? Sonoran?

WOW, That's really RED. Color is almost like fashion, I never know what's going to be popular, but personally I think red is pretty.
