No difference in the standard for lavender in silkies than in other colours (APA & ABA call it self-blue).
I spoke with George Mihalik (porcelain silkie creator) a couple of weeks ago and he agreed that the porcelains need to have mottle bred into them so that they conform to the true porcelain standard. Right now they have quite variable appearance. All lovely, but hard to document. He showed 3 or 4 in Tucson and none looked the same. One is close to mine (that he bred), but his has more lavender than does Issa. If you look at a porcelain d'uccle, that is the colour he wants to achieve.
I have yet to buy the first over priced Chicken from this george you speak of. He could speak for himself if he wanted to. How is it I came by the same chicken( and others)as you and him, not just once but 3 times not even trying? You guys have a lot of work before you. There are reasons I posted here rather than a private message. I still would like to be your friend Sonoran. Silkies are more than lovely no matter what the color! (you know I hate breading to color) The whole silkie color standard should be dropped period! But then where goes the money? So do say, how does george make a porcelain? Obviously they don't all look the same. Maybe I should say why?

I still feel ignored until it suits your purpose. I truely want to be your friend!!!! One last thing... It is ironic that Your best "porcelian" named "Issa" is very close to my own named "Izzy" She was named before I was ever a member here.
