Hello! I bought this feeder because I thought it would work for our flock when they were chicks and when they grew up to be chickens. So far it is working great. No wasted food. It would have been fine forever if we had ended up with all girls.
Well, one of our pullets is actually a cockerel and now his comb and wattle are being folded as he puts his head in to eat. I'm guessing this is a problem that will only get worse as he continues to grow. Our flock is 10+weeks old now, so not done growing yet, right?
Is there a port style feeder that accommodates a rooster's head? I don't want to have to spend the money on another feeder but obviously he has to eat.
