Seeing those Cygnets I can't tell swan from goose. what are those big ones that look like they have down?

Those are my babies at 6 wks. The chinese whites pretty much snoozing, and the pekin ducks.

Some positives are lack of negatives.
1) They won't peck your eyes out (or hurt hands or feet going after red polish and or jewelry.).

2) You will never have a duck wake you up at 4 AM crowing it's fool head off. BTW muscovies are barely audible and don't quack- they kind of hiss/wheeze.

3) They don't have spurs. A male duck won't give you eggs, but it's not at all the liability that a rooster is.

4) They are better than chickens about eatting all the slugs in your garden without decimating your veggies.
