OK, the months where everyone starts getting sick, where people (some) lose their chickens to the cold, and where people themselves are freezing!

I myself have been going through a lot, my ducks who I got off craigslist were badly cared for (yes i brought them home I wouldn't just leave them their!) My brother just went into rehab for doing drugs (FINALLY! But of course were gonna miss him!) My parrot of a couple years just died... I'm seriously worried about my parents, I won't share why because it's personal but it's really hard to focus on stuff when you know someone you love is hurting . And to top it all off my dog has to go to the vet for shots, a checkup, flea infestation, mites, and she has a tumor....

I really want to focus on all the good things so let's make each other happy and focus on the good stuff!

Oh my, that's a lot of stuff. I'm sorry you're dealing with all that.

Just remember that one day you'll come out stronger on the other side, you will get through it all.

There's a lot of positive in your post to celebrate: saved duckies, a family member is getting help for addiction (terrible disease), you have a dog who you can make more memories with, and you have your BYC folx to keep you company!

Ars you suggesting of starting like a positivity thread - like a gratitude journal thing? I'm down for that.

What you said, "my ducks were badly cared for (yes I brought them home)". What I heard, I care about those who are stuck in a bad situation and would do anything in my power to ease their pain. In the end, the character of a person will be known by how they treat those who can give nothing back.
What you said, "My brother just went to rehab for doing drugs, finally but we are going to miss him." What heard: I am so thankful that someone I love has finally sought the treatment he needs for a terrible disease. I can't wait to see him again when he is feeling better.

I want to do everything I can to help her. In fact, I'm seeking help from the veterinarian, even though that is expensive for or me. She deserves the best I can give her.
Whaat you said, "My parrot of a couple years just died." What I heard, "I spent a couple years bonding with a parrot, and now it has died. Why do the critters we love so much leave us too early? Parrots are supposed to live a long time. I loved my parrot and now something very special is missing in my life. I am so thankful for the time I had with that parrot.
