Possible age and gender of this Barred Plymouth Rock?

Barred rock hens carry one barring gene, and the males carry two so males have more barring. Basically, it makes them have more white on their feathers than hens

I have a barred rock. The girls are black with white stripes and the boys are white with black stripes... that's how I explain it to them. Good luck!

Ooo thank you for that information I have 2 barred Rocks and I wasn't sure if the one was a rooster but now i will look closer at them both.
