These are not my chickens. The first few pictures are of them growing up and the last two photos are the most recent. I believe these are leghorns?? Is it common for a leghorn to have a naked neck if the possibility the mom and/or dad was not naked neck? Do they look sick?

These are not my chickens.
Who do these chickens belong to? Perhaps the owner of the birds may want to address any concerns?

Welcome To BYC

Your title is asking about Avian Flu or disease, but you are asking about a bird (not a leghorn) having a naked neck.

Any bird acting sick?

I don't see anything alarming about the naked neck. Looks like a mixed breeds.

If the birds had avian flu, they would not be alive for more than a day or two.
If they had respiratory illness, you would see symptoms and I don't see you mention any symptoms.

They belong to a library. They died within a day and one at a time.

That's not a lot to go on.
A necropsy would have to be performed in order to know why they died. The library administrator could have made arrangements for necropsy through your state lab or contacted your local ag agent for assistance.

Heat exhaustion can take large birds in a matter of hours. With disease, the birds would be visibly symptomatic - but it's just guesses without official confirmation.

Sorry that they all died.

The Naked Neck bird doesn't look like a Leghorn. Barnyard mix, yes. Who knows what genetics from past generations were, so it's very possible to have naked neck show up.
