I have a small crew of chickens, 5 beautiful hens and 1 handsome rooster. I noticed my roo losing feathers near his face, almost like molting, then the ones coming in looked like they got broken, don't know if this has anything to do with the possible avian pox. But I noticed on my one girl with the big comb some black spots and on my roo, I thought they might have gotten bit and had scabs, but it seems like everyone has a few black spots on combs and waddle. Any clue what it is and if I should be worried/ do anything special for them?

I'll get some more pictures tomorrow if I need to. They weren't happy with me messing with them tonight

Therecould be some mild pox there, but hard to tell it from minor pecking from some pictures. Check your rooster closely all over but especially around his neck and under his vent area for lice or mites. He could be having a small molt, or more probably someone is pecking his feathers. My rooster will get over groomed occasionally by a couple of his hens while on the roost in the evening.
